It’s the weirdest thing.
Yeah - I had an ex-gf who had perfect pitch & who’d studied music. Any piece of music pretty much set her off on a tirade of how “Oh, that’s flat, that’s missed the beat. Jesus, this is crap!” - but for all that she couldn’t play or sing herself. She was quite simply just a whinger. I gotta say, her studying music...
